American painting has been a pioneer in pictorial experimentation,

                                     unceasingly investigating new materials and formats.

                                     Ive seen this recently in the work of Steve Silver in Brooklyn,

                                     now he is investigating interference colors on MDF

                                     that change with the light in much the same way as the paint applications on some cars;

                                     the result is an extraordinary brilliance

                                     similar to the industrial lacquers used by Gloria Cot, Wihelm Mundt or the sculptor Gabriel,

                                     in all of these their works reach a potent luminosity close to the sun's splendor.
